, This arts integration unit combines visual art and movement through the artist's use of the body as a tool and a medium for art making. Students are introduced to various art movements including Surrealism, Fluxus, Process, and Performance Art. All of these genre have an intermedia approach to making, encouraging the use of whatever means the artist deems necessary to convey their idea. In addition, they often rely on collaboration and play as a means of generating ideas and works. Students will integrate movement, theater, and story telling to produce a process or performance piece that communicates a significant personal memory that is documented using video.
